In Flores de Vida there are no obligatory meals and no fixed meal times. We invite you to discover and observe your own body awareness and to follow it. Basically, eat when you’re hungry and stop when you’re full. Drink when you’re thirsty.
Of course it can still happen to eat at the same place at the same time. But then please pay attention to the needs of others and make sure they agree to a conversation if you feel like it. Contrary to social habits, the mealtime in Flores de Vida is not a time for conversation; we create other opportunities for it.
We invite you to eat and chew carefully and consciously, to devote yourself to the process of eating with the necessary peace and to enjoy it with all your senses. That is why we also propose to prepare, process, mix and spice as little as possible.
The principle of simplicity also applies to meals. Discover the particularities of the individual foods, how they affect your body and whether you may perceive changes in taste and sensation with increasing amounts.
Another suggestion is to start the day with just a few sips of water and wait with the first food intake until the body has completed its morning cleansing process and the feeling of hunger becomes really strong and clear.
